Liberta Food prefers sunproof glass and organic fabric packaging not to produce any non-recyclable and polluting solid waste. In addition, for food safety reasons, Liberta Food uses Guala closure in its olive oil packaging to avoid counterfeited refill attempts, which in many cases lead to dramatic health and legal consequences.

With the rising popularity of olive oil, concerns about authenticity and quality have emerged. Adulteration of olive oil with poor-quality oils or counterfeit products has been a subject of discussion for a long time. Consumers and experts are focusing on ways to identify genuine, high-quality olive oil and the importance of proper labeling and international certifications. Liberta Food does not allow deceptive and dishonest practices in its products. Because of that, Liberta Food meticulously focuses on strengthening the position of farmers practicing organic agriculture, accredited olive oil producers, and cooperatives in the agricultural food chain.

Food needs to be nutritious, fresh, and safe. Consumers should be able to have trust in the products they buy. Constituents of food contact materials that transfer from these materials into the food may affect the chemical safety and human health, quality, taste, smell, and appearance.

Sustainability

Food sustainability means producing food in a way that protects the environment, makes efficient use of natural resources, increases the availability and affordability of healthy, sustainable food options, ensures that farmers can support themselves, and enhances the quality of life in communities that produce food, including the animals as well as the people. The goal is also to reduce the overall environmental footprint of the food system and make adopting healthy diets easier.
